What Are The 3 Seeds In This Medicinal Powder?
You may have heard from older relatives or friends about the incredible weight loss results that can be achieved by using a combination of three powerful seeds. If so, what they were referring to is the extraordinary Methi Ajwain Kali Jeeri powder.
Methi, Ajwain, Kali Jeeri, is an Ayurvedic remedy. It is widely recognized for its therapeutic properties, particularly its efficacy in supporting weight management. So what are the three seeds?
- Methi – The English word is Fenugreek
- Ajwain – In English they are Carom
- Kali Jeeri – In English we know them as Bitter Cumin
All three of these seed powders is effective on its own, however the combination is particularly powerful, especially for those looking to shed stubborn body and belly fat. The blend of fenugreek, carom, and bitter cumin seeds has a synergistic effect. This is believed to be why it enhances the weight loss process.
Health Benefits of Methi (Fenugreek).
This seeds of this herb are widely used in Indian cuisine and known for having a distinct bitter taste. It is also a common ingredient in traditional Ayurveda due to its numerous health benefits. Fenugreek seeds are incredibly rich in dietary fiber and protein which helps by increasing metabolism. This is why they are so helpful for burning belly fat.
Dietary fiber also helps us to feel fuller for longer. When we feel full we are less likely to make unhealthy choices, like grabbing snack foods, or binge eating. As well as aiding in digestion they are full of antioxidants and are said to reduce inflammation.
Fenugreek is believed to regulate blood sugar levels. This is due to it containing galactomannan,1Fenugreek may be able to help people with type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels. A 2016 meta-analysis of 12 studies published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology found that fenugreek significantly decreased fasting blood sugar levels in people with diabetes or pre-diabetes which slows the rate of absorption of sugars in the blood. They have a low carbohydrate content, always helpful in the efforts for losing weight.
Methi seeds can be used to boost weight loss on their own. To try this, all you need do is soak the seeds in a little water. After 30 minutes enjoy them as a crunchy salad topping and drink the soaking liquid. You can also remove them from the water, place ion top of damp paper towels and in a few days you can enjoy delicious fenugreek sprouts.
Health Benefits of Ajwain (Carom).
Carom seeds have a strong, pungent and distinctly thyme-like aroma with a sharp, peppery taste. This unique flavor has made them one of the most popular spices in Indian cooking. Well known in Ayurveda for their digestive properties, Carom seeds have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, making them effective for relieving indigestion, bloating, and flatulence.
