Reiki
Reiki is a healing technique that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. The word itself comes from two Japanese words: “Rei” means universal, and “Ki” means life force energy.
Reiki is based on the belief that there is a universal life force energy that flows through all living things, and that this energy can be channeled and directed for the purposes of healing and relaxation.
Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel this energy into the body of the person receiving the treatment. They do not use physical manipulation or massage, but instead place their hands on or near the body in a series of hand positions.
The energy is said to flow through the practitioner’s hands into the recipient’s body, facilitating the release of any blockages or negative energy and promoting healing and relaxation.
Reiki is often used to reduce stress and anxiety, relieve pain, and promote overall well-being. It is a non-invasive and gentle form of healing that can be used alongside traditional medical treatments. Reiki can be performed on people of all ages, including children and pregnant women.
Many people who receive Reiki treatments report feeling a sense of deep relaxation and calmness, as well as an improvement in physical symptoms. It is important to note that Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, and anyone experiencing serious health issues should always seek the advice of a qualified medical professional.
